We’re pretty chuffed to announce that Norfolk Farm received a High Commendation in the ‘New House Over 200 Square Metres’ category at the inaugural Houses Magazine “House of the Year” Awards on Friday Night! Hosted by Architecture Media in the subterranean Plaza Ballroom on Collins St in Melbourne’s CBD, the awards were fast and fun and the standard of entry very high. Over 200 entries were received, with more than 70 in our category. Of these, 20 were finalists and the judges comprising: Camilla Block, Director, Durbach Block Jaggers (NSW), Paul Owen, Director, Owen and Vokes (Qld), Kerry Phelan, Director, Kerry Phelan Design Office (Vic), Brian Zulaikha, Director, Tonkin Zulaikha Greer (NSW) and Cameron Bruhn, Editorial Director, Architecture Media (Vic) would have had a very tough time indeed making the final decisions. The gallery of finalists is testament to the incredible diversity and quality of work entered and can be seen here
Z House by Donovan Hill came out on top in our category while Virginia Kerridge’s House in Country NSW was named Australian House of the Year.
