CODA wins at the 2012 Australian Interior Design Awards

We’re thrilled to announce that our fitout of the new CODA Studio won the 2012 Australian Interior Design Award for Best of State (WA) Commercial Design!

This award is given to the most outstanding project in all commercial categories across the State, which makes it particularly pleasing to have won. It also makes it two in a row for Fremantle practices, with Kerry Hill Architects’ State Theatre taking out last year’s gong. This year’s State Winners include the new $1Billion Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne by  Billard Leece Partnership and Bates Smart, and the OXIGEN Fitout by Woods Bagot in Adelaide – all fantastic peers to be up on stage with. You can see all the winners here.

Emma Williamson grabbed her glo-mesh handbag and made the whirlwind dash to Sydney to receive the award at a ceremony on Friday night. It’s a huge achievement for us, and we’re particularly pleased as this really was a collaborative project with most of the office contributing something to the final design.

Here are a few photos of the office that Peter Bennetts took earlier in the year:
