A tiny space was found between two buildings in the port city of Fremantle. East-West orientation. 250m2. Not quite the Australian Dream. Luxuries previously taken for granted, like a front yard, are dispatched. Every metre of space is put to use. The cubed mass is carved out to provide interior and exterior spaces for all weather conditions. The roof is occupied. The facade acts as a billboard, the front yard becoming vertical. The smooth neatly clipped graphic landscape hides the chaos of our life with three small children that plays out behind.
