Tess O’Brien

Graduate Architect

Tess graduated from Curtin University in 2014, and was the recipient of both the Architects Board Graduate Award and the EG Cohen Medal.

Tess joins the studio in a graduate position, having worked at CODA intermittently since 2011 as a student, with involvement across various architectural projects, research tasks and office administration throughout this time.

Tess’ master’s thesis focused on the concept of nostalgia and the architectural potential that this idea holds as a progressive design tool, taking into account local and memory based contexts and desires. This is an interest that remains potent in Tess’ architectural thinking.
